All students, alumni, friends, and families are welcome to attend this free brunch event on Sunday, May 14 at 10am at the Penn Newman Center (111 S. 38th Street), co-sponsored by Collegium Institute for Catholic Thought & Culture and the Penn Newman Center.
Join us this Mother’s Day during Penn Alumni Weekend for a casual buffet brunch, fellowship, and a discussion on “Motherhood, the University, and the Future of the Nation.” Our featured guest is Penn alumna Catherine R. Pakaluk (Hardy), C’98, the Director of Social Research and Associate Professor at the Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business in Washington, D.C. An economist trained at Penn and Harvard, Dr. Pakaluk is a highly sought after speaker whose research examines the economics of education and religion, family studies and demography, Catholic social thought and political economy.
After her brief introductory remarks and discussion, participants will have an opportunity to engage the conversation and hear the latest updates from Penn Newman and Collegium Institute—and to continue brunching. All are welcome.
