Faith in Fiction

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to join this virtual June reading group on Wendell Berry’s Hannah Coulter.

Wendell Berry is perhaps the most famous contemporary American essayist on agrarian culture and community life.  Through this novel we’ll explore his communitarian vision by tracing the heroine’s struggle with family, work, prayer, death, and grief in 20th century Port William, Kentucky.

We will meet on Zoom on the following Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm ET:

  • May 31

  • June 7

  • June 14

  • June 21

All participants will receive a free copy of Hannah Coulter.
