"The Truth Will Set You Free": A Catholic Humanism Series on Faith, Knowledge, and Self-Understanding

Collegium Institute, in partnership with the Penn Newman Center, invites college students to apply for the Spring 2025 Catholic Humanism Fellowship.  Each semester is an independent fellowship, and student fellows who complete all four will be awarded Collegium’s Certificate in Catholic Thought.

We are pleased to announce this semester’s fellowship as: “The Truth Will Set You Free”: A Catholic Humanism Series on Faith, Knowledge, and Self Understanding. Across six lunchtime seminar sessions, we will explore the nature of truth in the post-modern world. We will examine the relationship between truth and revelation, belief and doubt, and Catholicism and other belief systems. As we seek the truth about truth, we will engage with thinkers from Blaise Pascal and Friedrich Nietzsche to Joseph Ratzinger and John Paul II. Our goal is to learn how to live with integrity the divine summons to love God with our whole minds within our pluralistic university context.

Dates: Fridays, 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm.
